I bought this last summer and it has made rides way more comfortable when it gets this hot. Try one. a majority of people will find it money well spent is my guess.

    cooling?

i know old thread. but the heat is coming very soon.
are you cheap? ...or just broke?

pour water down your neck into your jacket. and soak your bucket with water. then ride. same way the vest works.
but remember to drink plenty of water.

    word for the needed.

if your are not P-ing...then you had better be drinking water.
if you are not drinking water,.......... you had better be P-ing.
but you can do both at the same time.

    clear is golden.

    golden is dry.

yellow: time to drink a gallon of water.
and do a quart of gater-aid.

PREHYDRATION PEOPLE! If you show up to a summer ride without having drank most of a gallon of water the day previous it's damn near impossible to properly dehydrate the day of. :svengo:

Gatorade is crap. Very poor drink for pre-activity. Can cause stomach cramps. Water or even something like apple juice is much better.

Gatoraide & Pedialyte taste like syrup to me.

I've been drinking coconut water at trackdays & it's kept me alive so far. Makes a good icepack in the cooler too. Still ice cold for the next day.

Gatorade gives you cramps - maybe mix it with water. I take the following on hotter days when I pedal...

I used to just soak my tshirt and wear it under my riding jacket on hot days and by the time I got home, the shirt was dry and it kept me cool.

If you're so broke that you can't afford an under armor shirt you probably shouldn't be riding a motorcycle.

Three years ago, when this thread was relevant, my track day menu consisted of a good night's rest followed by water, bananas, granola bars, and beef jerky.
